It's the holiday season and I have plenty of maple syrup due to recipe testing. Made these on a whim and I can 100% say is a 10/10. You can make this as a meal prep or for a family brunch.
Let's get started.
Maple Sausage Breakfast Sandwich
10 English Muffins
10 Slices of Cheddar Jack Cheese
10 Eggs
Maple Sausage Patties
2 Lbs. Ground Chicken
1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Poultry Seasoning
1/2 Tsp. Sage
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1/2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
In a large bowl add in the ground chicken, maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, poultry seasoning, sage, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
Form in 8 even balls and then form them into patties.
Using a pan or griddle. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until fully cooked through. Fry eggs on the griddle and set aside.
Form breakfast sandwiches by layering a sausage patty, egg, cheese, and serve.
Note: You can use ground pork or turkey in place of the chicken.
