Rice Pilaf

This rice pilaf is so easy and can accompany any type of proteins. I have several different skewers/kabob recipes on my blog. Just search for them and they will show right up.

Let's get started.

Rice Pilaf
1 1/2 Cups Long Grain Rice
1/2 Cup Vermicelli
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
1/2 Yellow Onion, diced
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2 Tbsp. Butter
2 Tbsp. Chicken Bouillon Powder
4 Cups Water

In a medium pot, using medium high heat, add in the oil, butter, rice, and vermicelli. Stir until the rice develops a slightly toasted color. About 2 minutes. Add in the minced garlic, onion, and sauté for a minute.

Add in the water, chicken bouillon powder, stir to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Allow to cook for 12-15 minutes. Then turn off heat and allow to steam for 10 minutes.

Fluff up with a fork, serve, and enjoy.
