These cake like baked donuts come together in under an hour. Make them and enjoy for Valentine's Day or any other day.
Let's get started.
Nutella Donuts
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1/3 Cup Buttermilk
1/4 Cup Nutella
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
1 Egg
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Glaze
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
2 Tbsp. Nutella
2-3 Tbsp. Milk
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a donut pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl add in the buttermilk, Nutella, brown sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Spoon into prepared donut pan. Making sure to only fill them up 2/3rd's of the way up. You should end up with about 10 donuts.
Bake for 9-10 minutes. Remove and cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them onto a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
Meanwhile, in a separate bowl combine the ingredients for the glaze and mix until well combined. For a thinner glaze add more milk for a thicker glaze add more powdered sugar. Dunk the tops of the donuts into the glaze, top with sprinkles, and allow to set for 30 minutes.
