Fall time BBQ is one of my favorite things to do. Living in my part of the world the weather is almost always nice to host a BBQ outside. This recipe makes eight burgers. Double it if you are hosting a larger crowd.
Let's get started.
Grilled Turkey Burgers
2 lbs. Ground Turkey
2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Toppings
8 Brioche Bun
1 Small Onion, thinly sliced
8 Slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
2 Tomatoes, thinly sliced
Butter Lettuce
Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup
In a large bowl, add in the ground turkey, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil, and mix until well combined. Form into 8 equal patties, and place onto a plate. Allow to rest for 30 minutes.
Preheat grill.
Grill patties for 5 minutes on the first side. Flip and grill for an additional 4 minutes. Or until a thermometer registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a slice of cheese on top an allow to melt slightly.
Remove patties from grill and allow to rest for 1-2 minutes. Meanwhile grill your buns for a minute or so. You just want to get some grill marks on them.
Serve and set up your toppings on the side so people can choose their own. Enjoy.
French Fries
6-8 Large Russet Potatoes
1 Tbsp. Kosher Salt
2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
2 Tsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Fresh Thyme, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. Fresh Rosemary, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. Fresh Sage, finely chopped
2 Cloves of Garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Wash potatoes thoroughly. Cut into fries and allow to soak in cold water for 20-30 minutes. Drain and place onto a clean kitchen towel. Pat completely dry.
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Using a large baking pan, add in the potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic, toss until potatoes are fully coasted.
Make sure they are in a single layer on the baking pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the potatoes are fully cooked.
Notes: you can make the fries by scratch or but a bag or two of frozen unseasoned French fries, cook according to package directions and season with the fall seasoning above. 10/10 still amazing and time saving.
