This is a great side dish for any shawarma or souvlaki.
Let's get started.
Yellow Rice
1 1/2 Cup Longs Grain Rice or Basmati Rice
2-3 Cloves of Garlic Minced
2 Tsp. Turmeric
2 Bay Leaves
1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 Tbsp. Chicken Bouillon Powder
3 Cups Water
Rinse rice 2-3 times and drain thoroughly.
In a medium pot, using medium high heat, add in the oil, and rice. Stir until the rice develops a slightly toasted color. Add in the minced garlic, and sauté for a minute.
Add in the water, turmeric, bay leaves, chicken bouillon powder, stir to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Allow to cook for 12-15 minutes. Then turn off heat and allow to steam for 10 minutes.
Fluff up with a fork, serve, and enjoy.
