Montreal Ribs

Made these ribs and I figured they would be perfect to make for a football watch party.

Let's get started.

Montreal Ribs
2 Racks of Ribs
1 Onion, cut in half
2 Bay Leaves
1 Tbsp. Kosher Salt
1 Tbsp. Whole Black Peppercorns
1 Head of Garlic cut in half
1 Cup Pickle Juice

Glaze
1/2 Cup Ketchup
1/2 Cup Applesauce
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Lemon Juiced
1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1/2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp. Smoked Paprika
1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/8 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper

Remove the lining on the back of the ribs and cut into riblets. In a large pot place the ribs with the onion, bay leaves, salt, peppercorns, garlic, and pickle juice. Cover with water, bring up to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 1 hour. After 1 hour drain and discard the water.

Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Meanwhile in bowl combine all of the ingredients for the glaze.

Base your ribs all over with the sauce. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has gotten some color on the ribs.

Remove from the oven and serve.
