Creamy Beef Shells

Easy and super comforting for a week day winter meal.

Creamy Beef Shells
1 lb. Ground Beef
1 lb. Ground Pork 
1 Onion, diced
4-6 Cloves of Garlic, minced
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp. Italian Seasoning
1/2 Tsp. Mustard Powder
Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
3 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1 1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Beef Broth
16 oz. Tomato Sauce
1 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
4 Oz. Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Half and Half
1 1/2 Cups Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
1 Pound Medium Shell Pasta
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese, plus more for serving

Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.

Meanwhile, in a pan, add in the oil, onions, and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until onions have slightly softened.

Add in the ground beef, pork, Italian seasoning, mustard powder, kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, mustard powder, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until evenly browned.

Add in the flour and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes, then add in the tomato paste, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Stir and bring to a simmer.

Once it is simmering add in the cream cheese, half and half, stir until cream cheese is fully incorporated in the sauce. Stir in the cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese and al dente pasta. 

Serve and enjoy.
