Parmesan Potato Gratin

This is such a simple but delicious side dish.

Let's get started.

Parmesan Potato Gratin
3 Cups Heavy Cream
4-5 Sprigs of Fresh Thyme
5-6 Cloves of Garlic, thinly sliced
1/2 Tsp. Grated Nutmeg
Pinch of Chili Flakes
2 Tbsp. Butter
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
5 Large Russet Potatoes, peeled and cut into slices
Kosher Salt
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp. Butter

Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a pot, add in the cream, thyme, garlic, nutmeg, chili flakes, a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Gently warm the cream do not boil.

In a casserole dish butter the bottom of the dish, place a layer of potatoes, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and pour some cream over them. Continue layering with potatoes, parmesan, and cream. Cover the top layer with parmesan cheese and cover the dish with foil bake for 40 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue to bake until golden for an additional 15 minutes.
