Halloween Treats

Halloween candy treats plus a scary movie = a great day. 

Let's get started.

Monster Cookies
1 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
1 Cup Brown Sugar, packed
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
3/4 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
3/4 Cup Halloween M&Ms 
3/4 Cup Chopped Pretzels 
1/2 Cup Toffee Bits
1/4 Cup Candy Eyes
1/2 Tsp. Flaky Sea Salt

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

In a large bowl, using an electric whisk beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light in color; about 4-5 min.

Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

Sift in the flour, baking soda and kosher salt, mix until combined. Cookie dough will be stiff.

Using a wooden spoon stir in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, pretzels, and toffee.

Using a cookie scoop, drop two scoops to make one cookie. Flatten them slightly and top with eyes and flaky sea salt.

Bake for 13-16 minutes, or until light brown around edges. Cool completely. 

Serve and enjoy. 





Monster Munch Popcorn
3 Bags of Butter Popcorn
1 Cup Salted Peanuts
1 Cup Honey Roasted Peanuts
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp. Cinnamon 
2 (2.5 oz) bags of Apple Chips
Cooking Spray

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Pop popcorn according to the directions on the package.

Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. Place popcorn, peanuts, and apple chips.

In a saucepan add in the brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat and allow it to boil for 4 minutes without stirring.

Turn off the heat and add in the vanilla extract and cinnamon stir to combine. 

Pour the caramel over the popcorn and stir with a rubber spatula until coated.

Bake for 30 minutes making sure to stir every 10 minutes.

Line your counter with parchment paper. 

Once caramel corn is baked pour the popcorn onto your prepared counter. Allow to cool completely. 

Serve and enjoy.
