Christmas Treats

Making these cute treats to leave for Santa. Or you can pass them out to neighbors and friends. 

Let's get started. 

Gingerbread Cookies Printable Recipe
2 Sticks of Unsalted Butter, Softened (1 Cup total)
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Unsulphured Molasses
1 Large Egg
2 Tbsp. White Vinegar
1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
2 Tsp. Ground Ginger
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Ground Clove
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract 
5 Cups All Purpose Flour, sifted + more for dusting 

Frosting
3 Tbsp. Meringue Powder
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
5 Tbsp. Water

In a large bowl, add in the butter, sugar, and molasses, using an electric mixer, whisk the mixture until smooth about 3-5 minutes. 

Add in the egg, vinegar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Add in the flour 1 cup at a time until dough is formed. Divide the  dough into two. Wrap in parchment paper lightly dusted with flour. 

Chill the dough for 30-45 minutes. 

Roll out your dough on a lightly floured work surface until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Cutout using your favorite cookie cutter and place on a parchment lined baking sheet chill once again for 8-10 mintues.

Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bake your cookies for 8-12 minutes depending on the size of the cookie cutters you used. Reroll any scrapes making sure to chill before baking.

While the cookies cool make your frosting

In a large bowl, add in the meringue powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and water. Beat for 8-10 mintes until stiff peaks form and the frosting is glossy. 

Frost cookies as you would like and allow to dry for at least one hour before stacking.

Serve and enjoy.



Coconut Santa Hats Printable Recipe
1 14oz. PKg. of Coconut Shavings
1 14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract 
2 Large Egg Whites, Whipped to stiff peaks
1 Cup Milk Chocolate, melted or red candy melts
1 Cup  White Chocolate, melted
Christmas Sprinkles

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl, combine the coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Fold in the egg whites until incorporated.

Scoop out rounded tablespoons full of the the mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet and gently mold into santa hats.

Bake for 15 mintues or until lightly golden brown. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Dip each santa hat into the melted chocolate of your choice and garnish with sprinkles

Serve and enjoy.



Cinnamon Sugar Bites Printable Recipe
1 Can Pre-made Biscuits 
1/2 Stick Butter, melted
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cut each biscuit into four peices, roll them in the palm of your hand slightly, and spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.

Meanwhile combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Once the buiscuts are fully cooked through, place them in a large bowl, breaking some of them up if they have puffed up.

Pour over the butter and toss in the cinnamon sugar.

Serve and enjoy.
