These are ridiculously good. Easy to make perfect for a weeknight dinner. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Swedish Meatballs Printable Recipe
1 lb. Ground Pork
1 lb. Ground Beef
2 Eggs
4 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1/2 Onion, finely chopped
4 Cloves of Garlic, minced
1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs
1 1/2 Tsp. Kosher Salt
1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp. Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Cream Sauce
2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Beef Stock
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
1 Tsp. Soy Sauce
1/2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1/4 Cup Parsley, Chopped
In a skillet using medium heat, add in 2 tbsp. of the butter and sauté the onion and garlic, until the onions have softened. About 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Place the cooled sautéed onions and garlic in a large bowl, add in the ground beef, ground pork, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and mix until well combined. Form into meatballs.
In a large skillet add in the remaining butter, olive oil and sear the meatballs all over. Remove once they have become nicely browned.
In the same skillet add in the 2 tbsp. butter and flour. And cook for 1 minute constantly stirring.
Whisk in the beef stock, soy sauce, heavy cream, black pepper, and continue stirring until well combined.
Add in all of the meatballs, stir, and continue to cook until they are fully cooked through 10-15 minutes.
Remove from heat and top with parsley.
Serve along side mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
