Pulled Pork Sandwich

Making pulled pork sandwiches via crockpot as it is too hot to turn on the oven and too hot to grill outside.

The following recipe serves 8-10 people, perfect for any game day at home as you can just keep it on warm in the crockpot and anyone can make their own sandwich as they please.

Let's get started.

Pulled Pork Sandwich Printable Recipe
12 Hawaiian Style Buns (you can use whatever you like, these are just my favorite)
5 lbs. Pork Shoulder
2 Tsp. Salt
2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Smoked Paprika
1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
2 Tbsp. Worecestershire Sauce
4 Cloves of Garlic, minced
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 Cup Chicken Broth
1 Bottle BBQ Sauce, plus more for serving

Toppings:
Red Onion, thinly sliced
Tomato, thinly sliced
Pickled Jalapenos, thinly sliced

Or you can top with a slaw, recipe down below.

In your crockpot, add in the pork shoulder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, worecestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion, and chicken broth.

Cook on high for 6-8 hours or on low 8-10 hours until pork is tender and shreds easily. Shred pork and mix in the BBQ sauce.

Toast buns and top with a slice of tomato, onion, pulled pork, and pickled jalapenos or slaw if you so choose.

Serve and enjoy.

Slaw
1 Small Head of Cabbage, shredded
1/2 Red Onion, thinly sliced
1 Jalapeno, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
3/4 Cup Mayo
