Dutch Baby

It's a quarantined birthday for me. Yes, I am still social distancing from friends and family and my birthday is coming up. What better way to celebrate then eating a candle topped Dutch Baby while my family sings me happy birthday via Zoom.

Let's get started.

Dutch Baby Printable Recipe
3 Eggs
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Tbsp. Sugar
Pinch of Nutmeg
4 Tbsp. Butter

Top with: Powdered sugar and fresh fruit or, maple syrup, preserves, cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, or any other topping you can think of. The sky is the limit.

Pre heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Combine eggs, flour, milk, sugar, and nutmeg in a blender and blend until smooth.

Place butter in a heavy 10 inch skillet or baking dish and place in the oven, let butter melt.

Once butter is melted, add the batter to the pan and return to the pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden.

After the first 20 minutes of baking, lower the temperature to 300 degree Fahrenheit and bake for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove the pancake from the oven, cut into wedges, and top with your favorite toppings.

Serve and enjoy.
