Wings

Wings are not just for Wednesdays, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Perfect for football season, and if you're like me and binge watch any and all Tim Burton Films during this time of year. Tim Burton and Chill anyone?

I recommend you make these highly addicting wings. Your friends and family will thank you and the wings will run out in no time leaving them asking you for more.





Let's get started!

Buffalo Wings Printable Recipe
2 lbs. Wings
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Potato Starch
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp. Paprika
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Oil for frying

Buffalo Sauce
1/2 Cup Franks Red Hot Sauce
2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
1 Tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Cloves of Garlic, mashed with the side of your knife

In a bowl combine the flour, potato starch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and stir to combine.

Dredge the wings into the flour mixture making sure to shake off any excess flour. Set aside the floured wings for 10 minutes.

In a pan or Dutch oven heat the oil to 350 degrees F. place the wings in the oil and fry for 6 minutes on each side or until golden brown all over 10-12 minutes total. Remove from the frying pan and let excess oil drain.

In a small pot using medium high heat bring all of the buffalo sauce ingredients to a simmer. Remove from heat after 2-3 minutes and add the fried wings and sauce together in a large bowl and toss to combine.

Serve along side carrots sticks, celery sticks, and ranch or blue cheese dressing whatever you fancy.

Just in case your family also likes a little variety in flavors when eating, lemon pepper wings are a great addition.

Lemon Pepper Wings Printable Recipe
2 lbs. Chicken Wings
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Potato Starch
3 Tsp. Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Oil for frying
1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
1 1/2 Tbsp. Lemon Pepper Seasoning 

In a bowl combine the flour, potato starch, lemon pepper seasoning and stir to combine.

Dredge the wings into the flour mixture making sure to shake off any excess flour. Set aside the floured wings for 10 minutes.

In a pan or Dutch oven heat up the oil to 350 degrees F. place the wings in the oil and fry 6 minutes on each side or until golden brown all over 10-12 minutes total. Remove from the frying pan and let excess oil drain.

In a bowl combine the melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning, add in the fried wings and toss to combine.

Serve along side carrot sticks, celery sticks, and ranch.

Side note: You can make batches of these in the oven, To bake all you have to do is heat your oven to 350. Put your wings on a wire rack on top of a cookie sheet to get even heat circulation, and bake for 25 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 475 and bake your wings for an additional 20-30 minutes flipping them occasionally until they are golden brown all over. Sauce them up after, they are done and bake for another 5 minutes.
